Ali takes us through her background. Originally from New Jersey, she attended New York School of Interior Design in NYC, and eventually started working for other people. About eight years ago, she decided to go out on her own. Since then she's been working on plenty of high-end residential projects, as well as restaurants, and other commercial projects.
Today in New Jersey History: Albert Einstein was born on March 14, 1879 in Germany. His work as a theoretic physicist influenced the philosophy of science and his very name is synonymous with genius. Being Jewish, he came to the United States as Hitler's influence grew in Germany and settled in Princeton, New Jersey, affiliating himself until his death in 1955 with the Institute for Advanced Study.
Segment 2
We discuss what it is like working with Ali and how they go through planning what the design will look like and eventually making their dreams come to reality. Working with different people, different personalities, and different styles, are things that go into putting together the plans together. We also discuss various hurdles that have presented themselves over the last couple years and making sure her clients are taken care of.
New Jersey Fun Fact: Atlantic City is home to the world's longest boardwalk.
Segment 3
Ali and Mike discuss what it's like living in Morristown, checking out local restaurants and other businesses, as well as knowing the history of the town. We also discuss how Ali likes to support local art galleries and local artists through her projects, as well as the network of people she works with is very important to her.
